Q-Elements
Q-Elements have been defined as any element that was produced for a purpose other than inclusion in a production set, this could be for a park model build, a large subcontracted build for a brand promotion or any other number of builds where an element may be commissioned to be made in a color not previously released to the public by any means of consumer availability.

Recently this definition has been expanded to include elements or mold variations in colors that have been previously released in a set but have been retired or dormant for many years sometimes 30+ years but may resurface in bulk at a park PAB or in a LUGBULK buy.

Most often these elements make their way into the hands of the public by way of Legoland Park Pick a Brick (PAB) walls, presumably as a means of getting rid of large amounts of left over bricks from park builds and to a degree the lack of element knowledge possessed by those tasked with making such decisions.

However they are found they are wondrous pieces that are great for collecting and often demand a premium from secondary market sellers lucky or industrious enough to find them.
