There are some in the Promo Brick collecting community voicing fears that Promo Bricks are being phased out in favor of Pop Badges. I have talked to many people " in the know" and none have gotten a definitive answer, in fact we've seen several events like Brick or Treat where both are utilized. I do believe they may be used a little more sparingly now that a less costly alternative exists and Brick distribution may be reserved for evergreen events like Halloween,The Holidays, Park Anniversaries etc. in US.
I have it on good authority that Legoland Malaysia has halted Brick production altogehter and it has not released one since 2020. Legoland New York has released only 2 to my knowledge and Legoland Korea hasn't released any, not even a Grand Opening brick that I'm aware of.
Also it looks like 2021 will be the last year for Printed production years on bricks if not part of the design, at least that's what we've seen from Japan and Dubai for all of 2022.
